Yoga Classes

YOGA CLASSES

 

 

Carve the time for yourself and join our weekly classes to maintain continuity of your practice with the benefit of group support. Following classes take place every week at regular times.

 

If you are new to this class, please arrive few minutes earlier and alert the teacher of any limitations that you might have. Drop-ins are welcome, however, space is limited, so please register for the class ahead of time. Reserve now >

GENTLE YOGA (Monday / Wednesday / Friday 9.30am -10.45am) - Emily Olson
focuses on improving posture and breathing patterns, therefore revitalizing all the systems of the body.

It helps maintain strength and agility, improves balance and coordination, increases mental stability and focus. It is appropriate for older adults and students new to yoga.

TRICKY YOGA POSES SERIES

Yoga is a tool that can be used for the multitude of purposes: to heal back pain, to clear the head, to maintain overall health and agility. It is not performance-oriented; yet we've all seen images of contortionist yoga poses of the "Yeah, right, like I'll be able to do that!" variety.

 

Doing those poses won't make you a better person and it won't bring you closer to God. But they do represent the physical potential of the human body, give us an opportunity to challenge ourselves and teach us to reach further then we though possible. And they are fun to try! (safely)

 

This is what this series is about. We will experiment with more complex poses to see what our bodies are capable of. We will focus on developing flexibility and strength necessary to get there, starting from strengthening core musculature and then building flexibility and strength in upper body, lower body and hips.
