Massage as a healing tool has been around for thousands of years in many cultures. Touching is a natural human reaction to pain and stress, and for conveying compassion and support.

Healers throughout time and throughout the world have instinctually and independently developed a wide range of therapeutic techniques using touch. Many are still in use today, and with good reason. We now have scientific proof of the benefits of massage - benefits ranging from treating chronic diseases and injuries to alleviating the growing tensions of our modern lifestyles. Having a massage does more than just relax your body and mind - there are specific physiological and psychological changes which occur, even more so when massage is utilized as a preventative, frequent therapy and not simply mere luxury. Massage not only feels good, but it can cure what ails you.

Integrative Bodywork

Integrative Bodywork is deep, therapeutic massage that takes place on the table based on myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, Thai massage and other techniques. Focus is given to dispersing adhesions (“knots”), heat or stagnation in your tissue, clearing blockages and enhancing mobility.

An integrative bodywork session helps create more structural balance, improve range of motion and decrease pain. It includes exploration of the holding patterns that may be encouraging this imbalance. In addition to feeling structural change, you may walk away from a session feeling more peaceful, grounded and rejuvenated.

Angi Orton and Trudy Zimmerly practice Integrative Bodywork.

Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop therapy is an aromatherapy body treatment that consists of having 10 essential oils dropped along the spine like raindrops, massaged in and then having heat applied to the back for 5-10 minutes. Ending with a flushing lymphatic massage. This treatment is very detoxifying and refreshing. It is good for achy muscles, recovering from a cold or cough, allergies, sinus headaches, quitting smoking, or being on a detox cleansing program, or just as an energetic re-set.

The oils used include: Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Cypress, Marjoram, Wintergreen, Peppermint and Lavender, as well as two aromatherapy blends, Valor and Aroma Siez. These oils are of the highest quality from the Young Living line and are all anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal. Many studies have been done on the therapeutic benefits of this treatment including increasing energy and concentration in participants as well as helping speed the recovery of cancer survivors.
